Why This Dish Is Amazing
Cooking Hints
- Roast or sauté Brussels sprouts with a bit of olive oil to enhance their natural sweetness.
- Avoid overcooking to keep them crisp and prevent a bitter taste.
Directions
Lightly heat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Keep the pizza frozen—no need to thaw it before baking—then place it on a baking sheet or pizza pan. In a medium bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with about 2 teaspoons of olive oil, and season them with salt and pepper to taste. Spread the sprouts evenly over the pizza. Next, toss the red onion slices with the remaining teaspoon of olive oil, then layer them on top of the Brussels sprouts. Sprinkle the cooked bacon over the onions, followed by a generous handful of grated Parmesan cheese and a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes for a little kick. Pop the pizza into the oven and bake for about 13 to 15 minutes, until everything is hot and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
