Why This Recipe Is So Tasty
Cooking Tips You Should Know
- Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket; leave space for air to circulate for even cooking.
- Check the jerky halfway through and flip the strips to ensure they crisp up evenly on both sides.
Step 1
In a large bowl, mix together the ground chicken, 1/4 cup of cayenne pepper sauce, sea salt, pepper, celery seed, garlic powder, onion powder, and pink curing salt until everything is well combined. Cover the bowl and pop it in the fridge for at least 8 hours or overnight to let the flavors meld.
Step 2
When you’re ready, load the meat mixture into a jerky gun and squeeze out sticks onto the air fryer oven racks. Preheat your air fryer to 160°F (70°C).
Step 3
Place the racks inside the air fryer and cook the jerky sticks for about 2 hours. After that, carefully flip each stick over with a fork, then brush the tops with the remaining 2 tablespoons of cayenne pepper sauce. Cook for another 30 minutes.
Step 4
Once done, let the jerky cool completely before storing it in an airtight container. Enjoy!
