Why This Recipe Works
Tips For Perfect Results
- Use a high heat setting to get a nice crispy texture on the outside.
- Toss the potatoes halfway through baking for even browning.
Directions
Warm your oven to 450°F (230°C) and lightly grease a large nonstick baking dish. In a big bowl, toss together the potatoes, bell peppers, onion, basil, and garlic. Drizzle with olive oil, then sprinkle on some salt, black pepper, and paprika. Give everything a good mix so the veggies are evenly coated. Spread the mixture out in a single layer on the baking dish. Pop it in the oven and bake until the potatoes are golden and tender, which should take about 45 minutes to an hour. Once they're done, take the dish out, sprinkle the Cheddar cheese over the top, and put it back in for another 5 minutes so the cheese melts nicely. Then, it’s ready to serve!
