Helpful Tips For Cooking
- Use a mix of citrus fruits like lemon, lime, and orange for a more complex taste.
- Avoid overcooking to keep the chicken juicy and tender.
Step 1
In a bowl, toss the chicken with salt, pepper, chili flakes, cornflour, and a beaten egg. Mix everything well and set it aside to marinate for a bit.
Step 2
In a pan, combine the chicken stock, lemon slices, lemon juice, salt, pepper, chili flakes, sugar, and honey. If you like a little heat, add some green chillies—otherwise, feel free to skip them. Bring this mixture to a boil.
Step 3
Once it’s boiling, stir in about a teaspoon of cornflour slurry and cook until the sauce thickens. If you want, add a pinch of yellow food coloring and give it a good stir. Then turn off the heat and set the sauce aside.
Step 4
Heat some oil in a pan for frying. Cook the chicken pieces until they’re golden brown and cooked through.
Step 5
Serve the chicken over rice and drizzle the delicious lemon sauce on top. Enjoy!
