Why This Dish Is Amazing
Tips For Best Results
- Press the mixture firmly into the pan to help the bars hold together.
- Chill the bars well before cutting to prevent them from crumbling.
Directions
Spray an 8-inch square pan with cooking spray to prevent sticking. In a large bowl, combine the rice cereal, oats, almonds, walnuts, cranberries, raisins, and wheat germ—give everything a good stir to mix it up. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the marshmallows, honey, and corn syrup together, stirring often until the mixture is smooth and fully melted, which should take about 5 minutes. Pour the melted mixture over the dry ingredients and stir well to coat everything evenly. Press the mixture firmly into the prepared pan, making sure it’s packed down nicely. Let it cool for around 30 minutes until it’s firm and set. Once ready, cut into 9 bars and pop them into individual sandwich bags. If your kitchen is warm, keep the bars in the fridge so they stay fresh.
