Why This Meal Is A Winner
Cooking Pointers
- Add a splash of vinegar to the water to help the egg whites set faster.
- Crack eggs into a small bowl before slipping them gently into simmering water to avoid breaking the yolks.
Directions
Fil a large saucepan with about 2 to 3 inches of water and bring it to a gentle simmer. Turn the heat down to medium-low, add a splash of vinegar, and keep the water just barely bubbling. Crack an egg into a small cup or bowl, then hold it close to the water’s surface and slowly slide the egg in. Do the same with any other eggs you’re cooking. Once all the eggs are in, turn off the heat, cover the pan, and let them sit for about 4 minutes until the whites are set. Use a slotted spoon to carefully lift the eggs out. Finish by seasoning with salt, pepper, and a sprinkle of dill if you like.
