Why You'll Love Making This
Tips From The Kitchen
- Shape the cones while the sugar cones are still warm to avoid cracking.
- Allow the cones to cool completely before filling for best results.
Step 1
Wrap a sugar cone in a paper towel and popping it in the microwave for about 15 seconds, just until it feels soft and bendable. While it’s still warm, carefully shape the narrow end upward to create that classic cornucopia curve, holding it in place for 20 to 30 seconds until it firms up again. Repeat this with all your cones.
Step 2
Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat it in 30-second bursts, stirring in between, until it’s smooth and fully melted. Pour some candied ginger into a shallow bowl. Dip the top of each shaped cone into the melted chocolate, then immediately into the ginger pieces. Set them on a wire rack so the chocolate can harden.
Step 3
Once the cones are ready, fill them with grapes. Arrange the filled cones on a platter and scatter any extra grapes around for a pretty, inviting display.
