Why This Recipe Is So Enjoyable
Tips For Perfect Results
- Cook on medium heat to ensure the toast cooks through evenly without burning the outside.
- Let the toast rest for a minute after cooking to help it set and hold its shape when topped.
Step 1
In a medium bowl, whisk together the milk, egg product, Truvia sweetener, salt, and vanilla until well combined. Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and set it aside.
Step 2
Heat a nonstick griddle or skillet over medium heat—about 350°F if you have a thermometer. To check if it’s ready, sprinkle a few drops of water on the surface; if they dance and sizzle, you’re good to go. Add a little butter to grease the pan as needed.
Step 3
Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure both sides are nicely coated. Place the bread on the hot griddle and cook for about 3 to 4 minutes per side, or until each side turns golden brown.
Step 4
Serve the French toast topped with about a quarter cup of mixed berries and a tablespoon of whipped topping. Finish it off with a drizzle of syrup, and enjoy!
