Ingredients
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- ½ teaspoon ground chipotle pepper
- 1 pound thick-cut bacon
Why This Dish Is Amazing
Kitchen Tips
- Use a grill pan or foil to catch drippings and make cleanup easier.
- Brush the bacon with the maple-chipotle glaze during the last few minutes of cooking for a caramelized finish.
Directions
Warm your grill to medium-high and give the grate a light brush of oil so nothing sticks. While it’s warming up, mix together the maple syrup and chipotle powder in a small bowl. Once the grill is ready, set a disposable aluminum pan on the upper rack or off to the side where the heat is low. Lay the bacon strips right on the hot grate, then turn the heat down to low. Keep turning the bacon often so it cooks evenly and gets nice and crispy—this usually takes about 4 to 6 minutes. When it’s done, move the bacon to the pan to keep it warm. Next, put all the bacon back on the grill and brush both sides with your maple-chipotle glaze. Let it cook for another minute or so to let those flavors soak in. Serve it up right away and enjoy!
