What Makes This Recipe Unique
Cooking Advice
- Preheat the grill well to get nice grill marks and prevent sticking.
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken is cooked through but still tender.
Step 1
In a large resealable bag, toss together the cumin, sumac, sesame seeds, salt, thyme, oregano, and marjoram. Pour in the grapeseed oil and lemon juice, then give everything a good mix. Add the chicken breasts to the bag, seal it, and massage the marinade into the meat. Let it sit for about 30 minutes to soak up all those flavors.
Step 2
While the chicken is marinating, heat up your grill to around 500°F. Give the grill grates a quick spray with cooking spray to keep things from sticking. Once hot, place the chicken on the grill and cook for about 7 to 8 minutes, flipping halfway through. You want the chicken cooked through with no pink in the middle—an instant-read thermometer should hit at least 165°F. Once done, take it off the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
