Why This Recipe Is So Easy To Love
Pro Cooking Tips
- Lightly butter the outside of the bread before grilling to achieve a golden, crispy finish.
- If you don’t have a panini press, a heavy skillet with a weighted lid works well to press and cook the sandwich evenly.
Directions
Warm your outdoor grill to medium, aiming for around 325 to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Give the grill grate a light coat of oil to prevent sticking. Lay out half of the pretzels on a baking sheet, salt side down, and evenly spread the ham and cheese over them. Place the remaining pretzels on top, salt side facing up, to form sandwiches. Carefully transfer the pretzel paninis to the grill. To help them press down and cook evenly, set a heavy oven-safe skillet or foil-wrapped bricks on top. Close the grill lid and cook for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side, until the cheese is melted and everything is warmed through. Enjoy!
