Ingredients
- 1 banana
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1 teaspoon sweetened flaked coconut
- 2 tablespoons whipped cream (such as Reddi-Whip®)
Why This Dish Is Hard To Resist
Expert Cooking Tips
- Cook on medium heat to allow the honey to caramelize without burning.
- Toast the coconut lightly for extra crunch and deeper flavor.
Directions
Trim off the ends of the banana, then slice it lengthwise. Place the banana cut-side down on a piece of aluminum foil laid out on a baking sheet. Using a knife, make shallow crosswise cuts about a quarter-inch deep and spaced an inch apart. Drizzle the banana generously with honey, then sprinkle shredded coconut all over it. Pop it into a countertop convection oven set to the turbo setting and let it cook until the coconut turns golden brown—this usually takes around 5 minutes. Once it’s done, serve it up with a dollop of whipped cream for a sweet, creamy finish.
