Why This Recipe Is So Flavorful
Chef's Cooking Tips
- Don’t overcook; start with 1 minute and add extra time in 10-second intervals if needed.
- Stir the batter well to ensure even cooking and soft texture.
Directions
Spray the inside of four microwave-safe mugs with cooking spray to keep the cakes from sticking. Drop a teaspoon of grape jelly into the bottom of each mug for a sweet surprise. In a bowl, mix together the cake mix and peanut butter until combined. Then, stir in the whipped cream and egg substitute until you have a smooth batter. Divide the batter evenly among the mugs, spreading it gently over the jelly. Pop one mug in the microwave and cook on high for about 1 minute and 15 seconds, or until the cake feels set to the touch. Repeat with the other mugs. When they're done, carefully turn each mug upside down onto a plate to release the mini cakes. Enjoy!
