Helpful Cooking Tips
- Use fresh cardamom powder to enhance the authentic flavor.
- Be gentle while folding the ingredients to maintain the mousse’s fluffiness.
Step 1
Pour the milk into a saucepan, add the saffron and cardamom powder, and give it a good stir.
Step 2
Cook it over medium heat until it starts to boil, then let it simmer until the milk is reduced to about half. Stir in the crushed nuts, then set it aside to cool.
Step 3
In a separate bowl, whip the cream with a little yellow food coloring until you get stiff peaks. Set that aside too.
Step 4
Take two slices of bread and use a round cutter to cut out circles. Keep these ready.
Step 5
Now, grab a glass and start layering: a spoonful of the whipped cream, a bread circle, some of the reduced milk mixture, more cream, and finish with a sprinkle of nuts on top.
Step 6
And that’s it—your creamy, delicious ras malai mousse is ready to enjoy!
