Why This Dish Is A Crowd Favorite
Chef's Cooking Tips
- Lightly brush the wontons with oil before baking to achieve a golden, crispy texture.
- Use fresh salmon or well-drained canned salmon for the best flavor and texture.
Directions
Warm your oven to 450°F (230°C) and lightly grease a baking dish with some cooking spray. In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese, salmon, chopped onion, jalapeños, and chili powder until everything is well combined. Take about a teaspoon of this mixture and place it in the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges with a little water, then fold the corners inward and pinch them together to seal. Give the tops and sides of the wontons a quick brush with olive oil before arranging them in the baking dish. Pop them in the oven and bake until they turn a lovely golden brown, which should take about 10 minutes. Let them cool slightly before digging in!
