Why This Dish Is Amazing
Cooking Hints
- Press the mixture firmly into the pan to help the bars hold together.
- Chill the bars well before cutting to get clean edges.
Step 1
Lightly heat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a big bowl, mix together the flour, brown sugar, and egg. Then, cut in the butter until the mixture looks crumbly. Stir in the chopped peanuts.
Step 2
Set aside about 2 cups of this peanut crumble for later. Press the rest evenly into a 9x13-inch baking pan. Pop it in the oven and bake until the crust turns a nice light golden color, which should take around 15 minutes.
Step 3
While that’s baking, whisk together the condensed milk, peanut butter, and vanilla extract until smooth. Once the crust is ready, spread this peanut butter mixture evenly over the top. Sprinkle the reserved peanut crumble over everything.
Step 4
Put it back in the oven and bake for about 25 minutes, until it’s lightly browned on top. Let it cool completely before cutting into bars so they hold together nicely.
