Why This Dish Is Hard To Resist
Better Cooking Tips
- Stir the sauce frequently to prevent sticking or burning on the bottom.
- Let the dish rest for a few minutes after cooking to help it set and make serving easier.
Directions
Gently heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and drizzle in some olive oil. Toss in the chopped onion and cook it until it’s soft and translucent, which usually takes about 5 minutes. Next, add the sausage, red pepper, and mushrooms, stirring occasionally until the sausage is fully cooked through, about another 5 minutes. Pour in the Ragu® Old World Style® Traditional sauce along with broken lasagna noodles, a splash of water, and a little rosemary. Give everything a good stir, then cover the skillet and lower the heat to medium-low. Let it cook for around 20 minutes, stirring now and then, until the pasta is tender but still has a bit of bite. Once that’s done, take off the lid and mix in the ricotta, most of the shredded cheese, and some fresh parsley. Give it one last stir, sprinkle the remaining mozzarella on top, and serve it up right away while it’s nice and melty.
