Kitchen Advice
- Chill the dough before baking to help it hold its shape.
- Brush the crust with a little milk or egg wash for a golden, shiny finish.
Step 1
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Once melted, add the quick oats and give them a good stir, letting them warm up for about half a minute. Next, drizzle in the maple syrup and corn syrup, stirring everything so the oats get nicely coated. Sprinkle the brown sugar on top, then take the skillet off the heat right away. Keep stirring for a minute or two until the sugar melts and the oats are all sticky and sweet.
Step 2
Transfer the oat mixture to a bowl, then toss in the chocolate chips along with the almond and vanilla extracts. Stir gently to spread the chocolate chips throughout without breaking everything up. Spread this mixture out on a shallow pan and let it cool completely.
Step 3
When you’re ready to serve, divide the peach slices between two bowls and sprinkle the oat mixture over the top. Enjoy!
