Why This Recipe Is So Flavorful
Tips For Better Flavor
- Toast the nuts or seeds slightly to enhance their flavor.
- Chill the dressing before serving to keep the salad fresh and vibrant.
Step 1
Cook the bacon in a skillet until it’s nice and crispy, then crumble it onto a paper towel to drain. Preheat your oven to 425°F. On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spread out the cubed ham, red peppers, and corn. Roast everything for about 10 minutes, giving it a good toss halfway through so it cooks evenly.
Step 2
Once the roasted veggies and ham are ready, start layering your salad in a mason jar. Begin with the roasted corn at the bottom, then add a layer of halved cherry tomatoes. Next, pile on the cubed ham, followed by the roasted red peppers, shredded cheese, and a handful of mixed greens. Finish it off by sprinkling the crumbled bacon and some crunchy tortilla strips on top. Serve with your favorite dressing or salsa on the side and enjoy!
