Why This Recipe Stands Out
Pro Cooking Tips
- Avoid pressing down on the patties while cooking to keep them moist.
- Let the burgers rest for a few minutes after cooking to lock in the juices.
Step 1
Start by lightly oiling a large skillet and heating it over low heat. In a big bowl, mix together the ground beef, egg whites, chopped sun-dried tomatoes, crumbled goat cheese, sea salt, steak seasoning, and parsley until everything is well combined. Shape the mixture into about five patties.
Step 2
Place the patties in the skillet and let them cook gently for about 5 minutes. When they're ready, flip them over and cook for another 5 minutes. Then, turn the heat up to medium or medium-high, cover the skillet, and keep cooking the burgers, flipping them now and then, until they’re cooked through and still juicy—this should take another 5 to 10 minutes. To be sure, check that the internal temperature reaches at least 160°F (71°C). Right before serving, brush on some liquid hickory smoke seasoning for an extra smoky kick.
