Why This Recipe Works
Tips For Perfect Results
- Marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes to enhance flavor.
- Toast the bread lightly to add a nice crunch and prevent sogginess.
Step 1
Put the chicken breasts in a saucepan. Add enough water to cover them, then season with salt, pepper, and a spoonful of ginger garlic paste. Bring it to a boil and let it cook until the water has mostly evaporated. Once the chicken is cooked, shred it with two forks and set it aside.
Step 2
Heat some oil in a pan. When it’s hot, toss in the chopped garlic and cook for about a minute until fragrant. Add the chopped onions and cook for another 1-2 minutes until they soften.
Step 3
Throw in the mixed bell peppers and cook for a minute or so until they’re just tender. Then add the shredded chicken and give everything a good mix.
Step 4
Season the mixture with salt, pepper, and a pinch of chili flakes. Stir in some tomato ketchup and mayonnaise until everything is well combined. Once it’s ready, set the filling aside.
Step 5
Heat a grill pan and brush it with a little oil. Grill the bread slices on both sides until they’re golden and crispy.
Step 6
Finally, spread the chicken filling between two slices of grilled bread, press gently, and enjoy your sandwich!
